I was on the Glee Angst Meme, and somebody requested a story in which Kurt's mom was a prostitute. She rarely feeds Kurt, and gets angry if he makes a sound while she's with her costumers.

I understand that costuming is very high-stress, I wouldn't want to be distracted either. *giggles*

This was on The News Quiz some years ago. For whatever reason, it came back to me and I immediately thought of this comm. For those unfamiliar with The News Quiz, it's a radio series exactly what it sounds like but there are interludes where the announcer reads out funny newspaper cuttings the listeners send in. I'm reading the paperback version of The Republic of Pirates: Being the True and Surprising Story of the Caribbean Pirates and the Man Who Brought Them Down, by Colin Woodard.

On the top of page 168, talking about provisioning ships: "...and enough salt, bread, flower..."

It's been in print for two years and this never got fixed?
